I was born and raised in Houston, Texas as the youngest of 10 children. My mother was a public school teacher in HISD and I attended HISD public schools, graduating from Bellaire High School with honors in 1984. I have been married to my wife, Myra, for over 25 years and we have two beautiful children, Emma (18) and Grace (15). Both of our daughters attend public school in Spring Branch ISD.
I attended college and law school at the University of Texas at Austin, where I met my wife, Myra. For the last 25 years I have been in private practice in Houston, where I manage the Houston office of a national law firm. I have never held political office, but my legal experience and training has given me a unique insight to both how laws are made, how they are interpreted, and how they are put into practice. As the managing partner of a law firm, I also understand how business works, and how laws can impact private industry, both positively and negatively.
Our family has lived in the Memorial area for over 16 years. We have been members of St. Martin's Episcopal Church for over 12 years, where I am active in various church ministries, including serving as a Lay Reader/Chalice Bearer and a member of the church World Missions Committee. I also volunteer in several community and charitable organizations, including Interfaith Ministries, Meals on Wheels, and Yellowstone Academy. I also serve on the board of directors of Faith in Practice, a non-profit agency dedicated to providing medical services to the citizens of Guatemala. I have been blessed by the many benefits of living in this great State, and want to continue giving back by serving as your next District 133 Representative. Please support my campaign today!
